Guest Lecture on Current Good Manufacturing Practices Organized at Desh Bhagat University

Mandi Gobindgarh,16 October: On the occasion of the 3rd National Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) Day, the Placebo Club, School of Pharmacy, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, and Mata Jarnail K. College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and IQAC, Desh Bhagat University, organized an online guest lecture.

Dr. Keshav Jindal, Professor (Pharmaceutics), Adesh Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, Adesh University, Bathinda, was the eminent speaker for the session. He was warmly welcomed by Ms. Shivani Kumari, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Jindal highlighted the importance of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and discussed key concepts such as Quality by Design (QbD), risk management, critical process parameters, critical quality attributes, and optimization techniques using Minitab. The lecture concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students actively engaged with the expert.

The session proved to be highly informative and insightful, enhancing students’ understanding of pharmaceutical quality standards and their global relevance. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Puja Gulati.
