Desh Bhagat University Celebrates White Coat & Induction Ceremony
Mandi Gobindgarh, January 8: Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and Ayurvedic College, Mandi Gobindgarh, organized a White Coat and Induction Ceremony for the newly admitted students of the 2025 batch at Desh Bhagat University.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, along with Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, President Dr. Sandeep Singh and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti. The event was further graced by the presence of Special Guest of Honour Shri Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary (BJP), and Guest of Honour Dr. Punnet Ghirdhar, Joint DRME, Punjab.
The dignitaries were formally welcomed by Principal, Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, Dr. Vikram Bali, Vice Principal Dr. Tejveer Singh, Dr. Prabhjot Singh, Deputy Director, School of Nursing, Dr. Hem Raj, Principal, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, Faculty of Pharmacy and Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, Principal, Faculty of Nursing. They highlighted the significance of the White Coat and Induction Ceremony as a symbol of professionalism, ethics, and responsibility in healthcare education.
During the ceremony, white coats were ceremonially conferred upon the first professional students of the 2025 batch by the dignitaries. Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh blessed the budding professionals and encouraged them to strive for excellence and become dedicated practitioners committed to serving society.
Addressing the students and faculty, Special Guest of Honour Shri Tarun Chugh and Guest of Honour Dr. Punnet Ghirdhar congratulated the BDS, BAMS, Pharmacy and Nursing students of the 2025 batch. They emphasized the equal importance of all professional fields and urged students to uphold human values along with professional competence.
The event concluded with an oath-taking ceremony by all the students, reaffirming their commitment to ethical practice, followed by a vote of thanks presented by Dr. B. L. Bhardwaj, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University.
