Punjab News:Honest Hard Work Has No Substitute in This World: Anirudh Tiwari

Sheela Alipuria Charitable Society Organises Seminar for Students Pursuing Higher Education
— Society’s Sole Aim Is to Provide Complete Education: Ajay Alipuria
Senior-most IAS officer of Punjab and Director General of the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Anirudh Tiwari, said that there is no substitute for the honest hard work put in by children. Those who work hard and remain sincere eventually achieve the goals they set for themselves in life.
Anirudh Tiwari was speaking at a seminar organised here by the Sheela Alipuria Charitable Society, under the leadership of its president Ajay Alipuria, to motivate students pursuing higher education. The society provides completely free higher education to needy students. At present, around 35 students associated with the society are pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) studies.
Becoming a Good Human Being Is Essential to Succeed in Life
Anirudh Tiwari said that the first and foremost requirement for living successfully in society is to become a good human being. For this, it is essential to honestly adopt a basic value system. A good person, irrespective of the position he or she attains in life, spreads the fragrance of good qualities.
Addressing the students, he said that adopting a value system is a basic necessity. He emphasised that one must develop humility in order to learn and give up ego. Tiwari said that an ungrateful person is among the worst, adding that a person can repay a financial debt but can never truly repay a favour. He said that children who learn the art of expressing gratitude also achieve success in life.
If You Learn to Bow, You Will Also Learn to Give
Anirudh Tiwari said that a fruit-bearing tree always bends down, and similarly, if one learns humility, one also learns to give back to society. He said that one should never be afraid of difficult times, as life brings many challenges, but courage is essential to overcome them successfully.
Sharing experiences from his long administrative career, he advised the students never to be afraid of failure. If a child begins working hard with honesty and dedication, he or she can ultimately conquer the challenges of life.
A Clear Goal Is Essential for Success; Children Who Spend Time Watching Reels on Social Media Fall Behind
Anirudh Tiwari said that having a clear goal is essential for achieving success in life. Every minute of time is valuable, and children who spend excessive time watching reels on social media often fall behind.
He said that even today, many of those who become IAS officers do not spend much time on social media. He advised students to read good books and learn from them, as reading can play an important role in making a person successful.
He urged the students to stop wasting time, reminding them that time once gone never returns.
He said that every small and big problem in life can be addressed through hard work and higher education. Education can help overcome many challenges and make life successful. He said that after obtaining degrees and achieving success, students would realise that education not only provides knowledge but also helps make a person a better human being.
