The Aam Aadmi Party has criticized the BJP for the arrest of Punjab co-incharge and former Water Minister Satyendra Jain in a false case. The party is also linking this action to the upcoming elections in Punjab. AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP has once again got Satyendra Jain arrested in a false case. The previous case was fake and this case too will prove to be fake. He asked how long will this dictatorship of the BJP continue? It puts anyone it wants in jail by filing false cases. But now the BJP’s cup of sins is full. No matter how much dictatorship it indulges in, the end of the Modi government is certain.
Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP has once again had Satyendra Jain arrested. Everyone remembers the plight these people inflicted on him by imprisoning him some time ago. The previous case was fake, and this one too will be proven fake. He said that their lies will once again be exposed to the nation, but who will compensate for the time spent in jail and the mental torture he endured? The BJP’s cup of sins is now full. No matter how much dictatorship they practice, the end of the Modi government is certain. The entire Aam Aadmi Party and the people of the country stand firmly with Satyendra Jain.
On the arrest of Satyendra Jain, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia said, “Punjab co-in-charge Satyendra Jain has been arrested just before the Punjab elections. He was previously jailed for two and a half years in a fabricated case, and now again in another. The BJP, already embroiled in issues ranging from the Gen-G movement to the Ram Temple fundraising scandal and E-20, has now resorted to the old electoral tactics of the ED, ACB, and CBI.”
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said that AAP’s Punjab co-incharge, Satyendra Jain, has been arrested. The BJP government’s policy is to disrupt, stop, and pressure any government that is working. Before the Delhi elections, Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, and I were arrested. The sole purpose was to disrupt the Delhi elections and win the elections by any means necessary, using all means possible.
Sanjay Singh explained that they are now doing the same thing ahead of the Punjab elections. First, Sanjeev Arora was arrested, then random raids were conducted, and today, Punjab co-incharge Satyendra Jain, who was working for the organization there, was arrested again. All this is being done to influence the Punjab elections because the BJP government at the center is bewildered. Modi and Amit Shah are at a loss as to what to do in Punjab. They’ve tried their best, but they can’t seem to figure anything out.
Sanjay Singh said that his government in Punjab has provided excellent education, free electricity, implemented a scheme for women worth ₹1,000-₹1,500, initiated pilgrimage programs for the elderly, and provided medical insurance up to ₹10 lakh. After all this, the BJP has now realized that they are unlikely to succeed in Punjab, so they are resorting to these tactics.
Sanjay Singh said, “I just want to tell Prime Minister Modi that the entire country is watching his dictatorship. The entire country is watching the Prime Minister target the Aam Aadmi Party, arresting and jailing individual leaders. Now the cup of sin is full, and the public will surely respond to his actions and his dictatorship.”
Meanwhile, Atishi, former Chief Minister of Delhi and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, said that Satyendra Jain’s arrest is another example of the BJP’s political vendetta. He was previously implicated in a false case and sent to jail, and now the same story is being repeated. In the arrogance of power, the BJP has seemingly forgotten that there is a limit to lies and oppression. Today, one can use government power to intimidate someone, but the truth cannot be suppressed forever. This fight is not just Satyendra Jain’s. It is the fight of every person who stands against the abuse of power. The Aam Aadmi Party stands firmly with him.
Anurag Dhanda, National Media Incharge of the Aam Aadmi Party, asked, “How much more proof is needed that the BJP fears AAP?” “At the time of the water board tender they’re citing, Satyendra Jain was in jail. Tell me, how did he become responsible from jail? The real reason is that Satyendra Jain is the co-incharge of Punjab, and elections are coming in Punjab. Cowardly Modi, have some shame.” He said that the tender was signed in October 2022, and Satyendra Jain has been imprisoned by the BJP since May 2022 on a fabricated case. “This is a baseless conspiracy out of political vendetta, because the BJP cannot face the Aam Aadmi Party by contesting elections in Punjab. That’s why the co-incharge was arrested.”
