Aam Aadmi Party (AAP ) Punjab spokesperson Ranbir Singh Dhindsa launched a scathing attack on Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, saying his absence today despite being summoned by the SIT makes it clear how serious he is on serious issues like sacrilege, Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing incidents.
In a press conference on Friday with Moda Singh Anjan and Prof. Ripandeep Singh, Dhindsa asked Sukhbir Badal and the entire Shiromani Akali Dal leadership two direct questions. He said, “I want to ask: are worldly courts more important to you or our Supreme Sri Akal Takht Sahib ? The Sri Akal Takht Sahib, established by our Guru Sahib, is more sacred and supreme than worldly courts , and every Sikh and Punjabi has immense reverence and respect for it.” When Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib summoned Sukhbir Badal , he admitted that he was responsible for the sacrilege and firing on the Sangat peacefully chanting. His entire cabinet was punished in accordance with Guru’s dignity. If you have come to that greatest court of the Guru confessing your crime , how can you refuse to tell the truth before the SIT today ? Where has your reverence for the Guru and the Panthic stand gone ?”
Raising another major question, the AAP leader said that as former Home Minister, Sukhbir Badal had claimed that he was abroad on the day of the firing. However, according to Faridkot court records and his own writ petition , he was in constant contact with senior police officers that night, sitting in a five-star hotel. As Home Minister , who is responsible for the all-night conversation? This is a collusion between the Akali Dal and the BJP , which has completely exposed their anti-Punjab, anti-Panthic, and anti-Sikh nature.
Dhindsa further revealed that the main reason for Sukhbir Badal’s absence from the SIT today is a deal being struck with senior leaders in Delhi (BJP). He received a request from Delhi stating that he need not appear and that they would protect him from the sacrilege cases. In exchange for this protection, Sukhbir Badal has struck a deal for Punjab’s interests and agreed to support the BJP on the black laws .
He said that the pact that was ostensibly broken in 2020 was never truly broken. Whether it was voting for the BJP candidate in the presidential election or voting for its lone MP to pass bills in Parliament, the Akali Dal always stood with the BJP. Where have their commitments on MSP, the black laws, or Sikh issues gone today ? The only thing that matters to them today is how to avoid accusations of sacrilege and punishment.
Ranbir Singh Dhindsa appealed to all Punjabis to be wary of this conspiracy. To protect themselves and their families, the Akali Dal leadership first destroyed the entire party and now has sold out Punjab’s interests to the BJP. Every citizen of Punjab should ask this question to the Badals and expose their anti-Punjab image to the world.
