Patiala News:Dental Fortnite concludes , free dental sets distributed to needy patients
The Dental Fortnight organized by the District Health Department, Patiala for dental care and free treatment has come to an end. On this occasion, during the function organized at Mata Kaushalya Hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr. Vikas Goyal attended as the chief guest and distributed free complete sets of false teeth to the needy patients.
District Dental Health Officer Dr. Sunanda Narula said that during this Fortnight, 9 districts of the district Free dental check-up camps were organized at government health institutions Mata Kaushalya Hospital Patiala , Civil Hospital Rajpura , Samana , Nabha and CHC Bhadson , Shutrana , Ghanaur , Model Town and Tripuri. He said that as per the set target, 25 free dental check-up camps were organized during the fortnight. Complete sets of false teeth were made and given free of cost to the needy patients. Apart from this, dental experts examined the teeth of children in schools and made them aware about proper dental care , prevention of dental diseases and staying away from tobacco , zarda , bidi and excessive consumption of sweet things.
During the event, the patients who received free sets of false teeth were also given information about their maintenance. On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Rachna, Group Program Officer, Dental Specialists Dr. Preeti , Dr. Aarti , Dr. Sarabjit Kaur , Mass Media Wing team and other health workers were present.
