Patiala News:Farmers were made aware about stubble management through street plays.
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, under the leadership of Agriculture Officer Ghanaur Dr. Ranjodh Singh, organized street plays at Anaj Mandi Mandoli, Anaj Mandi Ghanaur and village Seal to make farmers aware about the proper management of paddy stubble.
Through these street plays, farmers were informed about the adverse effects of burning paddy stubble on the environment, human health and soil fertility. Along with this, farmers were motivated to manage the stubble properly by using agricultural machinery instead of burning it.
On this occasion, farmers were appealed to not burn stubble and contribute to the protection of the environment as well as maintaining the health of the land. Proper management of stubble can help reduce air pollution and ensure a clean environment for future generations.
During these awareness activities, Agriculture Development Officer Anurag Attri, Agriculture Extension Officer Manpreet Singh, Agriculture Sub-Inspector Baljinder Singh and Sarabjit Singh, Palwinder Singh were present.
