Monkey steals liquor from bike near Kanpur police station on Gandhi Jayanti
Annually, India observes Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 and it is a day on which alcohol sale across the country is prohibited. However, the rule, it seems, is applicable only to humans after a monkey was spotted in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh holding a bottle of alcohol and trying to open to have a sip.
In a video released on X (formerly Twitter), the monkey could be seen seated on a bike that was parked outside a police commissioner’s office in the city.
