Desh Bhagat University Organizes Five-Day National-Level FDP on Emerging Trends in Clinical Nursing
Mandi Gobindgarh,29 October: The School of Nursing, Desh Bhagat University, successfully organized a Five-Day Online National Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP), accredited with 8 Credit Hours by the Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Mohali.
Themed “Emerging Trends and Technological Advancements in Clinical Nursing,” the FDP aimed to empower nursing educators with the latest knowledge, enhance clinical competencies, and integrate evidence-based practices into teaching and patient care.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr. Tejinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, who lauded the initiative for promoting innovation in nursing education.
Motivational messages were also shared by Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, highlighting the importance of continuous professional growth.
The welcome address was presented by Prof. (Dr.) Lovesampuranjot Kaur and Prof. (Dr.) Prabhjot Singh, Deputy Director, School of Nursing. The honorary Patron, Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Registrar, PNRC, Mohali, delivered an insightful address emphasizing the significance of faculty development and technological integration in nursing.
Throughout the five days, distinguished national experts including Prof. (Dr.) Anu Gauba (GD Goenka University), Ms. Sanjenbam Emon Chanu and Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kumari Sylvia Devi (Himalayan College of Nursing), Dr. Amandeep Kaur Bajwa (SGRD, Amritsar), Prof. (Dr.) Davinder Kaur (Gian Sagar College of Nursing), and Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Pareek (Eternal University) conducted interactive sessions on specialized nursing domains.
The FDP provided a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, skill enhancement, and professional networking, focusing on simulation-based learning, digital tools, and emerging technologies in nursing education.
