DBU Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Energetic Sports Meet 2025
Mandi Gobindgarh,17 November: The Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, organized the Sports Meet 2025, bringing together students from all semesters for a day filled with enthusiasm, sportsmanship and competitive spirit.
The event featured a vibrant mix of indoor and outdoor sports, including cricket, volleyball, badminton, football, athletics, and engaging fun games.
The meet commenced with simultaneous matches of Volleyball, Cricket Finals, and Badminton (Boys & Girls). Students showcased exceptional energy from the very beginning, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere across the university grounds.
A standout moment of the event was the stellar performance by the 7th Semester B. Pharmacy Cricket Team, who delivered an exceptional show in the finals through disciplined bowling, strong teamwork, and strategic game play. The 5th Semester B. Pharmacy Volleyball Team also impressed spectators with their powerful serves, accurate passes, and excellent coordination.
In football, the 5th Semester B. Pharmacy Team participated with great enthusiasm.
The athletics segment featured high-energy events including 100m, 200m, 400m relay races, Javelin Throw, Shot Put, Discus Throw, and Tug of War.
In the afternoon, fun games were organized to encourage widespread participation.
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony at the Main Ground, graced by Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor D B U, Dr. Puja Gulati, Director, School of Pharmacy, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Gupta , Principal, S. Lal College of Pharmacy and Ms. Khushpal, Principal, Mata Jarnail K. College of Pharmacy. Winners were honored with medals and certificates, with special recognition given to standout teams from Cricket, Volleyball, and Football, along with top performers in athletics and field events.
