Mandi Gobindgarh, March 5: The Placebo Club of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a one-day industrial visit for B. Pharm 6th and 8th Semester students as part of their academic curriculum.
The program was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Shafkat and Dr. Imtiyaz, with active support from faculty members of the School of Pharmacy and S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy.
The students visited Salus Pharmaceuticals, located in Baddi (Himachal Pardeh), to gain practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance practices followed in the industry. The visit aimed to help students understand large-scale production processes, observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), learn about Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and gain insights into documentation and regulatory requirements.
During the visit, students toured key departments including the Production Unit, Quality Control Laboratory, Quality Assurance Section, Packaging Unit and Warehouse. Industry professionals explained manufacturing techniques, compliance standards and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.
The visit provided valuable hands-on exposure, enhanced students’ understanding of GMP and regulatory practices, and successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world pharmaceutical operations.
