Patiala News:Special camp organized at Dudhnasadhan to redress grievances of ex-servicemen
In compliance with the orders issued by the Cabinet Minister and Defence Services Welfare Minister Punjab, Mr. Mohinder Bhagat and as per the orders issued by the Deputy Commissioner Patiala, a camp was organized today on 09th October 2026 under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dudhnasadhan Major Harjot Kor, PCSG to redress the grievances of ex-servicemen.
The camp was inaugurated by Commander Baljinder Virk (Retd.), District Defence Services Welfare Officer Patiala, who welcomed the chief guest and gave detailed information about the various welfare schemes being run by the Central Sainik Board and the Punjab Government for the martyred soldiers, ex-servicemen and their dependents. He also informed about the recent increases in various welfare schemes by the Central Government and the Punjab Government.
After this, Honorable Sub Divisional Magistrate Dudhansadhan Ji welcomed the ex-servicemen present in the camp and assured that the problems faced by the ex-servicemen and their families would be resolved on priority basis. (Dr.) Major Yogesh, who was specially present in this camp, gave detailed information about health to the ex-servicemen. At the end of the camp, 04 martyred soldier families belonging to Dudhansadhan Tehsil were specially honored and on this occasion, 02 beneficiaries were also given financial assistance cheques from the Flag Day Fund. Commander Baljinder Virk (Retd.) District Defence Services Welfare Officer Patiala, Dr. Vikrant Kansal Member District Sainik Board, Representative Tehsildar Office and staff members of the office were present in this meeting.
