Patiala News:Awareness camp for ASHA workers on stubble management was organized in village Bhadson.
To create awareness about proper management of paddy stubble and not burning stubble, the Agriculture Department organized an awareness camp for ASHA workers in village Bhadson.
This camp was organized by Agriculture Development Officer Jaspreet Singh under the guidance of Dr. Dara Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, Patiala and Block Agriculture Officer, Japinder Singh Gill Nabha.
During the camp, ASHA workers were informed about the environmental pollution caused by burning paddy stubble, its adverse effects on soil fertility and harm to human health. They were motivated to take the message of awareness regarding stubble management to every household.
The Agriculture Department appealed to farmers to manage paddy stubble properly with the help of modern agricultural machinery instead of burning it. This will not only protect the environment but also maintain the health of the soil.
Message from the Department of Agriculture: “The pride of our village is unique, we do not burn stubble.”
