Patiala News:The second phase (population census) of Census 2027 in Patiala district Mrs. Renu Bhagat, Assistant Director, Sensing Operations Punjab reviewed the preparations.
Mrs. Renu Bhagat (Assistant Director , Sensing Operations Punjab) Dated 17.10.2026 at District Patiala Census- 2027 Phase 2 (Population Enumeration) A meeting was held at the office of Deputy Economic and Statistical Advisor, Sensing Cell, Patiala to review the preparations and ensure smooth arrangements. Census-2027 Phase-II (PE) Training was given on CMMS Portal . The meeting was attended by Deputy Economic and Statistical Advisor-cum-Additional District Census Officer Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur and officers/employees of 15 charge offices (6 Tehsils, 5 Nagar Councils and 4 Nagar Panchayats). During this, Assistant Director , Census Operation Punjab trained District Coordinators, Charge Clerks and Technical Assistants to complete the important tasks of the second phase of Census like HLB Review , EB Carving and other supporting activities in a timely manner .
He informed that this time a new initiative of ‘self-enumeration’ has been taken in the census. Under this, any citizen November 16, 2026 to November 30 , 2026 You can count your family yourself through online medium. After this , the second main phase of the census 01 December 2026 to 04 January 2027 It will last until , in which government enumerators will go door-to-door to complete the population census.
The Honorable Deputy Commissioner and the Honorable Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Patiala, appealed to all the citizens of the district to fully cooperate in this important task of Census-2027 being conducted by the Government of India.
