Punjab News: Ranjit Singh Tarkhan Majra reached his home after 12 days, Jasvir Singh Garhi lit a lamp of desi ghee and made him enter the house.

1. Today Sardar Ranjit Singh Tarkhan Majra Ji reached his home after 12 days. On this occasion, former Chairman of Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission and Halqa Incharge Shri Chamkaur Sahib Jasvir Singh Garhi reached his home and lit a lamp of desi ghee and welcomed him into the house.
2. After this, Jasvir Singh Garhi sat with the entire family, listened to their problems and gave encouragement and assured them of all possible support in the fight for justice.
3. Garhi said that the fight for the rights of the poor, oppressed and Dalit society will be fought above the discrimination of caste and religion. He said in an emotional tone, “The Tarkhan Majra family is not four, but five brothers from today. I will become your younger brother and fight hard to take this fight to the destination.”
4. This case relates to allegations of casteist abuse and assault allegedly made by Congress leader Barinder Singh Dhillon. Jasvir Singh Garhi strongly objected to the Chandigarh Police not instituting the relevant legal sections in the case.

Garhi raises serious questions on the role of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi: Jasvir Singh Garhi also raised serious questions on the role of former Chief Minister Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi in this entire matter. Garhi alleged that Sardar Ranjit Singh Tarkhan Majra was continuously doing public service by going from village to village and street to street in the Basi Pathana assembly constituency. According to him, due to this, Charanjit Singh Channi had political concerns about the assembly ticket of his brother Dr. Manohar Singh. Garhi suspected that the alleged beating of Ranjit Singh Tarkhan Majra may have been done through Barinder Singh Dhillon with the political motive of saving Dr. Manohar Singh’s ticket. He also raised the question as to why Charanjit Singh Channi is allegedly interfering to obstruct the legal action against Barinder Singh Dhillon. They demanded that this entire matter be investigated impartially and if anyone’s conspiracy or interference is revealed, then action should be taken against them as per the law.
6. Sardar Ranjit Singh Tarkhan Majra said that he had to struggle for a long time to file a police complaint against the alleged atrocities and atrocities committed at the Congress Bhawan. He regretted that till date, the necessary sections under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act have not been imposed.
7. He said that no leader of Punjab Congress has raised his voice in his favour. He also raised questions on the silence of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
8. On this occasion, Congress leader Mr. Manjit Sharma said that he was an eyewitness to the incident of alleged casteist abuse and assault. He said that the struggle will continue to get justice for the victim’s family.
9. Jasvir Singh Garhi, challenging the casteist and feudal thinking, made it clear that Barinder Singh Dhillon will not be allowed to escape legal action. He said that his voice will be raised at every legal and democratic platform to get justice for the victim’s family.
